DIRECT INTELLIGENCE — SIX SERVICE PILLARS

The 6 Pillars

Direct Intelligence operates six service pillars, each structured around a proprietary model and a specific institutional function. Together they address the full architecture of institutional decision-making in regulated critical national infrastructure environments.

How the Pillars Work Together

  1. 1
    Intelligence

    Intelligence produces the reading.

  2. 2
    Consultancy

    Consultancy sequences the route.

  3. 3
    Standards

    Standards governs the compliance perimeter.

  4. 4
    Systems

    Systems builds the AI layer.

  5. 5
    Talent

Talent builds the people who run it.

  6. 6
    Research

Research produces the original evidence base when none exists.

No pillar is optional. A CNI organisation engaging only one or two operates with a partial architecture against a complete institutional decision environment.

Sector Coverage

Direct Intelligence covers 24 sectors across three tiers, grouped by each sector's primary route to regulatory designation.

Tier 1 — CNI Designated

11 sectors

The 11 sectors we cover that hold formal CNI designation from the UK government, administered through the Cabinet Office and the CPNI framework.

Tier 2 — NSI Act

7 sectors

The 7 sectors we cover whose primary designation route is the National Security and Investment Act 2021. This counts our sectors, not the Act's own scope, which spans 17 sensitive areas of the economy and expands to 19.

Tier 3 — Foundational

6 sectors

The 6 sectors we cover that underpin every Tier 1 and Tier 2 sector without themselves carrying mandatory CNI or NSI designation.
